Book launch party for Maureen Francisco set for Jan. 19
Chapter member Maureen Francisco will be holding a launch party for her new book, It Takes Moxie: Off the Boat, or Out of School, to Making it Your Way in America from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Jan. 19 at the Heathman Hotel, (220 Kirkland Ave. in Kirkland).
About the book and event:
It Takes Moxie features the stories of Dr. Connie Mariano, the White House doctor; Richard Cho, the first Asian- American GM of a major sports franchise; Amy Chua, author of the New York Times Best Seller Battle Hymn of the Tiger Mother; Teddy Zee, Executive Producer The Pursuit of Happyness & Life or Something Like That and many more. They all have one thing in common: a refusal to accept “no” for an answer. You’ll meet some of these people at the book launch party. This is an opportunity to network with inspiring people.
The event is free for Ascend members and $20 for non-members. Cost includes mimosas, breakfast, coffee and valet parking. To register and for more information, click here.
