DIS/ORIENT/ED Comedy Tour coming to Seattle area on March 16
AAJA Seattle is sponsoring the DIS/ORIENT/ED Comedy Tour, which will be at the Renton Civic Theatre on March 16. This is the first-ever all female, Asian American standup comedy tour and will provide a showcase for local up-and-coming Asian American female comedians and feature comedians from throughout the country.
Tickets are $18, but if you use discount code ‘AAJASEATTLE‘ by March 9, you can get them for $12. To get your tickets, click here. Group rates are available as well. Email info@disorientedcomedy.com.
The show will feature the following comics:
- Mona Concepcion (The first & only Chamarro female comic & local favorite)

Additional credits include LA Weekly’s 2012 Comics to Watch, Serial Optimist’s Comics You Must Know in 2013, the WTF Podcast with Marc Maron, Last Comic Standing, the Bridgetown Comedy Festival, SF Sketchfest, the Great American Comedy Festival, NPR, Reader’s Digest, The Huffington Post, The Washington Post Magazine, TimeOut NY and Slate V.
The mission of DIS/ORIENT/ED Comedy is to highlight the voices of Asian American female comedians, emphasizing the diversity of comedic talent as wide-ranging as a Japanese former import car model, a high-energy South Asian transgender boi and an Egyptian American female grouch.
AAJA Seattle will also be giving away a pair of tickets, so stay tuned for details on how you can win!
